One in three children in London grow up in poverty. We support the small charities working at the heart of the communities facing the most disadvantage to combat this crisis.
Poor mental health. Youth violence. Educational inequality. Limited employment opportunities.
These are just some of the realities London’s 700,000 children growing up in poverty face.
We believe that, with enough funding and support, small charities have the power to transform the lives of London’s vulnerable young people.
That’s why through our flagship Firefly Project, set up in 2022, we identify, fund, support and incubate small, frontline youth charities in the capital, working with them to increase their impact and transform more children and young people’s lives.
Through a tailored multi-year partnership, we strengthen charities from the inside out, enabling them to scale sustainably, build resilience, and extend their reach.
From The Violence Intervention Project encouraging young people out of violence, to Let Me Know educating children about the signs of unhealthy relationships, our small charity partners make life better for London’s young people in so many ways.
Our network of Patrons, friends and partners are fundamental to our work. They don’t just support our mission financially – they become part of it, volunteering their time, expertise and connections to support our charity partners to enhance their impact.
With our unique approach, we’re turbo-charging small charities to create a tangible, positive impact on young people in London.
We’re not continuing with philanthropy as usual. We’re transforming it.
Our mission is to light up the lives of children and young people facing severe disadvantages. Our Firefly Project unites the power of philanthropy and frontline charities to give every child the possibility of a bright future.
