Sir Ben Elliot is a British businessman, entrepreneur and philanthropist.
In December 2000, Sir Ben founded Quintessentially, the luxury lifestyle group and global concierge service, which now has over 40 offices around the world. In 2013, he co-founded Hawthorn Advisors, a corporate communications business. Sir Ben is also the UK partner of the world-renowned Taiwanese dumpling restaurant Din Tai Fung, which has three London locations. He was a non-executive director of YouGov until 2019.
In 2016, Sir Ben acted as treasurer for the Conservative Party’s London Mayoral Campaign, raising record sums in support of Lord Goldsmith. He served as co-chairman of the Conservative Party between 2019 and 2022, and was one of the Party’s most successful fundraisers in history.
Alongside Sir Ben’s political and business roles, he is an active philanthropist and champion of good causes, supporting charities in the UK and around the world, both through his role as founding trustee of the Quintessentially Foundation and independently.
Sir Ben is a trustee of The Eranda Rothschild Foundation, honorary treasurer of The Centre For Policy Studies and a patron of The Elephant Family. He was trustee of The V&A from 2016 to 2024, chaired the Philanthropy Board at The Royal Albert Hall from 2015 to 2024, and was the government’s Food Surplus and Waste Champion from 2018 to 2022.
